Description
Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa, from around 1831, glitched in the studio until the wave breaks into horizontal streaks of color. From across a room it still reads as the Great Wave; up close it comes apart.
Printed at 11 × 17 inches, landscape, in the Vitro studio in Lafayette. Add a thin black frame to hang it the way it’s shown.
